Grodzka street is one of the oldest streets in Cracow. Main concept of the project was to functionally connect Grodzka street with Poselska street with commercial-residential passage integrated into the historical development of the quarter.\u00a0Composition was founded on the sculptured form which contrasted with already existing building. Functional and spatial arrangement envisaged the construction of several apartments and a number of shops in the ground floor of the building. The uniqueness of the place due to the historical value and the context of the Old Town and the Royal Route imposed two extreme approaches of minimalist design intervention on the principle of „architectural mimicry” or strong contrasting forms. It was decided to conduct a formal experiment which was balancing on the verge of extreme possibilities to adapt to the line of light and direction of the world.
